Towboat Design
A unique hull design offering an extremely stable workboat with relatively shallow draft, the large twin props offer excellent maneuverability and efficiency. The original design, "Tor Bjorn", was developed at E. A. Drake, Ltd, where I was Associate Naval Architect, for Chelan County P.U.D. A follow-on vessel with some minor changes was subsequently commissioned from Pacific Motor Boat Design. The "VanDorien" was built by Hansen Boat Co., Everett, WA.
